Emotional Healing Series – The solution to anxiety is not to solve it
"Breathing: Jiang Fengnan's Second Novel Collection" quotes Kierkegaard's words "Anxiety is a dizziness of freedom." After we are born, we are given free will, a kind of forced growth towards freedom. Survival, choice, responsibility, loneliness... these life issues related to freedom will cause anxiety. And anxiety inevitably causes dizziness, a kind of anxiety and confusion in thinking, emotions and body. It is interesting that I thought such anxiety and confusion came from uncertainty about these life issues or life, but this novel reveals that when we see or grasp more things, anxiety may become more out of control. Why? This is what we want to talk about in this lecture. What is the nature of anxiety? How does anxiety come about? We want to provide the methods that speakers use when facing anxiety. These methods are not about solving or confronting anxiety, but about being aware of and coping with anxiety.
